Dear Business Leader:

For 20 years the South Bay Bruins, an official Alumni Network of the UCLA Alumni Association, has financially assisted South Bay undergraduate students enroll at UCLA. This has been made possible due to generous donations from leaders such as you. Because of your generosity, the South Bay Bruins have funded up to four new scholarships each year. On Saturday, May 19, 2012, the South Bay Bruins will host our 5th annual Spring Gala Scholarship Fundraiser, Casino Night, "An Evening at Monte Carlo". Our goal for the event is to raise $20,000 for our scholarship endowment, a fund that ensures South Bay Bruins scholarships will continue in perpetuity.

Join us for this festive and lively event which will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Ayres Hotel in the heart of the South Bay. The event will include food, casino games, opportunity drawings, a silent auction, poker tables, and much more. For this exciting event to succeed we need more than our dedicated volunteers who believe in the future of our students - WE NEED YOU!

Our support of amazing South Bay students headed to UCLA depends on donations from individuals and companies. You can help by donating items for the silent auction and opportunity drawings, including gift cards promoting your goods and services. Naturally, we also welcome financial donations to defray the costs of the evening to allow more of the funds raised to go toward scholarships.

Donors will be listed in the event program and will also be acknowledged by name on our website. This is a great way to help us reach our fundraising goal and to promote your business to the approximately 15,000 registered UCLA alumni in the Los Angeles South Bay community.

I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to be a part of the fundraising efforts of the South Bay Bruins. Please give generously to these South Bay students who will shape the future of the South Bay.
